Research governance is a critical framework that ensures the integrity, quality, and ethical conduct of scientific research in various disciplines and includes a set of principles, guidelines, and working practices designed to maintain high standards throughout the research process, from conceptualization to publication of results and from ethical oversight, especially in human or animal clinical studies, to quality assurance and accountability, i.e., establishing clear lines of responsibility between researchers, institutions, and funding bodies, and compliance, i.e., ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including data protection and intellectual property rights, as well as transparency in communications, information flow, findings, and conflicts of interest. This study conducted a narrative review of 80 articles related to research governance. For this purpose, and for a complete and comprehensive search of articles, the Google Scholar and Scopus databases were used. This review can familiarize policymakers and senior and middle managers in the field of health research with the term governance and its types, and explain the different models used in this field.

In this research we aimed to investigate electronic governance trends and uses meta-synthesis for selecting and reviewing papers in scientific database in electronic governance dealt. The major areas of research are qualitative and objective view of the nature of the problem and are often descriptive and evaluative.

As an interdisciplinary platform, this journal seeks to shape a systematic discourse around “Islamic governance”; a discourse that is simultaneously faithful to religious foundations and draws on the capacities of Islamic sciences, humanities, political sciences, management, economics, law, and other disciplines, as well as the experience of committed field activists. Islamic governance is not just an abstract theory;Rather, it is a practical strategy to respond to the complex challenges of the contemporary world, and especially the Islamic world and the Islamic regime of Iran. In a situation where existing governance systems are facing inefficiency, a return to Islamic governance with principles such as rationality, spirituality, justice, responsibility, and ethics - which are at the heart of Islamic teachings - can be a guiding light for reforming governance structures, goals, orientations, and actions.However, achieving this goal requires in-depth, innovative, problem-oriented research, and above and beyond that, a more serious extension of the problem-oriented approach to governance, which has been the focus of the Institute of Islamic Sciences and Culture's programs in recent years.

Objective: Directing research and changing its approach, problem and subject is the goal pursued by a wide range of governmental and non-governmental actors (including industry, private sector, social groups, etc. ). But how is this Direction and, more precisely, the governance of research possible? This article is designed to answer this and other similar questions. Methods: The present article is a review of literature and researchers have adopted a narrative review method based on sixteen types of literature reviews. Therefore, based on previous knowledge, they have analyzed the existing literature in the field of Research Governance and classified it into three categories: nature, scope and tools of research governance. Results: Based on the network of themes and analyses obtained from the literature, the essence of governance and the governance of research was explained as "construction and exercise of authority over interdependent actors". Based on this insight, the existing literature in the field of research governance was classified into two sections: macro and micro approach. The unique features of the research world (especially the prominent role of the micro-level, ie researchers in the science system) cause the critique of the two approaches and, as a result, the combination of approaches and the presentation of the research governance toolkit. Conclusion: Based on the nature of governance and by combining approaches and considering the unique feature of the science system, the research governance toolkit to change the decision-making situation of researchers or their interpretation of those situations, including styles: forcing researchers, equipping (or not) Researchers, inducing them and reinterpreted those situations. In order to realize and use these tools accurately, the mediation of epistemological features of different fields in this effect as well as possible reactions of researchers to these tools have been investigated.

Employing a pragmatic, inductive approach, the research utilizes Scopus data, analyzing 223 documents with Excel and VOSviewer. Findings reveal a surge in publications post-2010, predominantly articles and book chapters. Social sciences, environmental, and agricultural studies dominate. The Netherlands leads collaborations. Key terms include 'governance approach' and 'fisheries management,' emphasizing environmental concerns. Sanderson and Torfing are influential figures. Interactive governance, involving diverse actors, is expanding, with the Netherlands as a leader. Torfing's 2012 book significantly impacted research. The field's breadth is evident in diverse keywords. Recommendations for Iran include fostering discourse, identifying implementation pathways, and adapting the field to national contexts.

The rapid growth of complex issues in organizations necessitates collaboration and involvement from all stakeholders at various levels to achieve organizational goals. Multilevel governance has emerged as a particularly significant phenomenon. This research aims to identify key references and global trends in multilevel governance as an opportunity in the governance arena. To achieve this, bibliometric analysis was conducted on scientific outputs indexed in the Web of Science from 1996 to 2023. The findings reveal a notable increase in scientific production in this area, indicating its growing importance among researchers. The United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States have produced the most scholarly work in the past decade. Additionally, institutions such as the University of London and Cardiff University are recognized as prominent centers in this field. Research is predominantly focused on environmental studies, political science, and public administration, providing a conducive environment for achieving research objectives. Recommendations are also presented in relation to the subject.
